Q: What’s the best way to see Waiheke Island?
A:  A Waiheke Island tour is a great way to see the best of Waiheke.  Our See Waiheke local guide provides commentary, friendly advise and interesting information about the island.  We visit many of the top sights and can even put together a more bespoke or customised private tour for you if you wish to see even more!

Q: Which ferry do I catch to Waiheke and what time does it leave Auckland?
A:  Fullers Ferry service is the only ferry service currently available to Waiheke Island.  We ask people to catch the 09.30am ferry. The ferry ride to Waiheke takes approximately 40 minutes from wharf to wharf.  See our page How To Get Here for further details getting to the Auckland wharf.

Q: How much doe the ferry ticket cost?
A:  It really depends which type of ticket you purchase.  For full details, please consult the appropriate ferry website.

Q: Where do I meet you on arrival at Waiheke?
A: Look out for us on your left as you get off the ferry.  You’ll see our See Waiheke sign with your names on it and our guide waiting for you.

Q:  What happens if I am already on the island?
A:  give us a call/send us an email.

Q:  Can I pay you on the day?
A:  Due to the limited number of seats we have, bookings must be paid for in advance.

Q:  Can I bring my child/children on the tour?
A:  We welcome children but it needs to be by arrangement. Please feel free to contact us directly to discuss further.

Q:  Can I bring my dog/pet on the tour?
A:  Unfortunately not – due to the restrictions many of the venues impose. However, feel free to contact us directly to discuss further to see if we can create a customised Waiheke Tour for you (at our discretion).

Q:  What do I need to bring with me on a Waiheke Tour?
A:  Being out on an island, we recommend people bring the following:  Jacket/Sunblock/Sunglasses/Hat/Camera/Swimwear/Wallet and a Smile. Read more here.

Q:  Do we make a lunch stop / is lunch included in the Waiheke tour price?
A:  Yes, we stop for lunch at an eatery recommended by us and agreed with you.  This could be a vineyard or a beach side cafe- depending on your preferences.  Lunch is at your own cost.

Q: Will the tour go ahead if the weather is stormy/bad/raining?
A: Our tours are not weather dependent as a rule, we go rain or shine – most venues are reasonably sheltered (bring an umbrella!)  But in the event of a cyclone or high seas, we will cancel and re-book your tour – or provide a refund.  The chances of this happening are rare but please do contact us if you have any concerns.

Q: What time will we return back to Auckland?
A:  We’ll have you back to the Matiatia ferry terminal ready to catch the 4.15pm ferry which will get you back into central Auckland for approximately 5pm.
